Abstract:
A study of the different reactions of four Jewish philosophers in regard to Jewish faith and values, and universal humanistic values, after the Holocaust. Each of them tried to find an answer to the question: why did it happen? Concludes that none of them gave a satisfactory answer, but it is incumbent on all thinking Jews to continue to discuss this question, however difficult it may be; it cannot be ignored.
