Abstract:
Notes the proliferation in Nazi Germany of institutes for the study of the Jewish question as well as of university courses and dissertations on the topic, at the very time the Jews were being exterminated. This discipline purported to be scientific; though it served antisemitic propaganda and the practical politics of the Final Solution, it insisted that it was distinct from them. However, it was proud of being a "fighting science", not ideologically neutral, and loyal to the "Volk". It devoted itself mainly to research on the harmful influence of the Jews and the struggle between Germans and Jews throughout history - the struggle in which the Germans were now victorious. For that very reason the memory of the Jewish danger must be preserved, so that future generations would never again, out of ignorance, succumb to it.
