Abstract:
Describes the creation and composition of the Einsatzgruppen in 1941, their goals, and the composition of their victims. Estimates the number of victims of Einsatzgruppe A as 230,000, of Einsatzgruppe B as 120,000, of Einsatzgruppe C as more than 150,000, of Einsatzgruppe D as 130,000, and of the Einsatzgruppe for special tasks (Einsatzgruppe z.b.V.) as more than 20,000. With the addition of the victims of the commandos of Stapostelle Zichenau-Schröttersburg and of Stapostelle Allenstein, the number of victims of the Einsatzgruppen operations totals 670,000.
