Kurzfassung:
Presents an overview of modern antisemitism in Argentina from the late 19th century to the end of the military dictatorship in 1983. Points to the 1920s-30s as the period when antisemitism took shape and crystallized as a factor in the ideology of Argentinean nationalism. Although the nationalist groups and their ideologies had no roots in the worldview of the majority of the population, over time they acquired a strong influence on state institutions, such as the army, the police, and the secret services. Antisemitic actions were carried out under the auspices of these institutions, ranging from propaganda and discrimination to physical attacks, torture, and murder. Emphasizes that the acts of aggression against Jews were part of those suffered by the general population whenever nationalist reactionary groups achieved positions of influence in Argentina.
