Abstract:
Gives an English translation of a medieval Greek legend on Jesus found in the Byzantine lexicon called "Suda" (ca. 1000). The fable alleged that the Jews had proof that Jesus was God's son, but were keeping it a secret. The comment points to the anachronisms in the text, but notes that the fable does not accuse the Jews of deicide and, moreover, it blames only the "Jewish leaders" who conceal "the truth", not all the Jews.
