Kurzfassung:
In the Roman Empire of the 4th-5th centuries, Christian orthodoxy accused Arians of being members of a heretical movement close to Judaism, as both negated the Christian dogma of the Holy Trinity. This equation was also used in "Adversus Iudaeos" writings, and was cultivated by Christian intellectuals such as John Chrysostom, Gregory of Nazianzus, Ambrose, and Chromatius of Aquileia. Asserts that these accusations had no basis in reality. The followers of Arius, although they subordinated the persona of Jesus to that of God the Father, were far removed from the Jews, who did not attribute any divine traits to Jesus. In addition, the Arians produced anti-Jewish literature, e.g. by Maximus of Turin, Eusebius of Emesa, and Asterius the Sophist, which reflected their rejection of the Jews.
