Jewish children in the Holocaust
Abstract:
Presents 15 tables with information and statistical data concerning Jewish children who survived the war, based on information from the card index prepared by the Jewish organization TOZ - Towarzystwo Opieki Zdrowia (Society for Health Protection) founded by the Centralny Komitet Żydów w Polsce (Central Committee of the Jews in Poland). The names are of children who in the years 1946-47 were interned in orphanages. This card index, now in the ZIH archives, contains 800 names of Jewish children, 314 of whom came from the Soviet Union. Gives, among others, data on places where children survived the war and how they were saved.
