Abstract:
Soviet propagandist Lev Aleksandrovich Korneyev recently accused Jewish bankers of financing Hitler's accession to power, thereby enabling him to carry out the Final Solution. This libel originates from a booklet published in Amsterdam in 1933 by "Sidney Warburg", an alleged (but non-existent) son of Felix Warburg. This work was in fact a fabrication of J.G. Schoup, a Belgian journalist. A pro-Nazi Swiss writer, René Sonderegger, twice translated this booklet into German, identifying the author as "James Warburg".
Note:
A revised version appeared as "Soviet propaganda; Hitler and the Zionists" in "Midstream" 31,9 (1985) 13-16.
