Abstract:
Discusses works of the antisemitic and esoteric Chilean writer Miguel Serrano (1917-2009) during the 1980s. Serrano, a diplomat since 1952, used his stay in Europe to cultivate relationships with former Nazis and neo-Nazis. He was expelled from the diplomatic service by President Salvador Allende, and returned to Chile in the early 1980s. He then wrote and published "El ciclo racial chileno" (1985), "La resurrección del Heroe" (1986), and "Nacionalsocialismo, única solución para los pueblos de América del Sur" (1986). He also edited "Los protocolos de los Sabios de Sión y su aplicación en Chile" (1981), "El plan Andinia, estrategia sionista para apoderarse de la Patagonia chilena y argentina" (1987), "Contra la usura" (1987), and "El informe Leuchter" (1989). Asserts that Serrano's judeophobic discourse is based on racism and on the myth of the Jewish conspiracy, and is able to integrate and adapt practically any information or reality (capitalism and communism, Christianity and Judaism, the evidence of the Holocaust, etc.) to his own terms.
