Abstract: The topos of the Jew's blindness, which recurs often in "adversus judaeos" literature, is embodied in the image of the blindfolded Synagoga in medieval art. Focuses on the integration of the image in medieval Spanish art. Discusses, also, how this figure is illustrated in some medieval manuscripts of "Breviari d'amor" by Matfre Ermengaud, and in "Fortalitium fidei" by Alonso de Espina.
Note: Includes illustrations (pp. 203-209).
