Abstract:
Includes information on Otto Albrecht von Bolschwing, Theodor Saevecke, and Erich Raja (aka Rajakowitsch). Otto von Bolschwing was a German SS-Hauptsturmführer in the Nazi Sicherheitsdienst; after World War II he worked as a spy for the Central Intelligence Agency in Europe and later in California. Saevecke was an SS officer and perpetrator of the Holocaust in Poland and in Italy; from 1947 on he worked for the CIA in Europe while living in Hamburg. Raja, originally from Graz, was an SS-Obersturmführer working under Eichmann at the RSHA in Berlin; in 1941 he was posted to the Netherlands, where he helped organize the deportation of the Jews, and later he fought on the Russian front. After the war he returned to Austria. During the Eichmann trial his name came up, and Austrian authorities began investigating him. In 1965 he was tried in Vienna, but got off with a light sentence.
