Kurzfassung:
At the beginning of 1942, the Germans set up a supply base (a "Waldlager") for the Waffen-SS, eight kilometers southeast of Bobruysk, in an area under military administration. Apart from other prisoners, the base also had a "Judenlager". In July 1942, Jews were taken from the Warsaw ghetto for forced labor in Bobruysk. At the same time, 500 Jews were taken from the Warsaw ghetto to work at the headquarters of the Luftwaffe in Smolensk. In mid-September 1943 the Jewish camp in Bobruysk was liquidated; the remaining 90 Jews were transferred to Minsk, and a week later to the Lublin District, where they were dispersed among several camps. Examines the singular features of the Jewish camp in Bobruysk, and compares the fate of those Jews who were sent to Bobruysk with those who went to Smolensk - how many were deported, when, why, and what is known about them.
