Abstract:
In November 1941 Eichmann submitted to Heydrich a memo containing drafts of two letters to two high-ranking Nazi officials - General Government State Secretary Josef Bühler and SS Obergruppenführer Friedrich Krüger - inviting them to a discussion on the "overall solution of the Jewish question" which was to be held on 9 December 1941 in Berlin. It appears from this document that the SS leadership was concerned about the attempt by Hans Frank to usurp the treatment of the "Jewish question" and remove it from the hands of the SS. The document was found in the "Reichsprotektor" Collection at the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic in Prague. Pp. 121-125 present a facsimile of the memo and an English translation. Pp. 125-127 contain comments by Büchler. Pp. 127-129 contain "Additional Remarks" by Breitman, in which he shows that the meeting planned by Heydrich was part of the plan of the SS leadership to gain full control of the police in the General Government.
