Abstract:
Discusses the cruelty of Pontius Pilate toward the Jews in Eretz Israel during his rule as governor of the Roman province of Judaea in the years ca.26-36, as recorded in works of Josephus, Philo, Tacitus, and in the New Testament. Some commentators believe that Pilate was sent to Judea as the representative of a deliberate anti-Jewish policy of Sejanus, a minister of the Emperor Tiberius.
