Abstract:
Compares the commemoration of the Holocaust in the U.S. with the lack of commemoration there of the victims of the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Discusses the meaning of the term "holocaust", and its applicability to atomic devastation of whole populations. States that the link between "the Nazi holocaust and atomic holocaust" goes far beyond memory; it goes to the essence of our lives today.
