Abstract:
Disputing arguments to the contrary, argues that Hebrews is not anti-Jewish. It does not include the terms "Jews, " "Gentiles, " or "Christians." It neither vilifies the Jews nor polemicizes with Judaism. The author of the book may not have been a Christian, but rather a Jew trying to cope with the destruction of the Temple. The book's supersessionism may not be Christian but rather Jewish prophetic; it does not necessarily claim that Christianity has displaced Judaism. In any case, contends that after the Holocaust Hebrews should not be taught in an antisemitic way, regardless of its original intent.
