Abstract:
Analyzes antisemitic articles published in French daily newspapers, authorized by the Nazis: "Le Petit Parisien", "Paris-Soir", and "Le Matin". Underlines the importance of the propaganda in these papers - it was more influential than extreme-right journals like "Je Suis Partout" or "Au Pilori". Discusses the main antisemitic themes, both social (e.g. the economic and political "domination" of the Jews) and "biological" (e.g. Jews are a race which should be eliminated). The antisemitic propaganda tried to provoke an anti-Jewish obsession among the French. Includes extracts from this press (pp. 156-170).
