Abstract:
Contends that the Barbie trial was presented by French television as fiction rather than authentic history. Most of the journalists lost interest when Barbie refused to attend the sessions. Barbie's attitude was perverse: he displayed deep emotion towards his own family while remaining cool in confrontation with his victims. Criticizes the fact that French collaborators were not mentioned, and that the French informer against the Jewish children's home in Izieu was not brought to justice. Thus, the presentation of this trial as a history lesson was falsified.
