Abstract:
The starting point for Budzik's reflection is Hydrofictions: Water, Power, and Politics in israeli and Palestinian Literature, in which the author, Hannah Boast, focuses on aquatic narratives as the basis for constructing Israeli-Jewish and Palestinian identities, along with strategies for narrating the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The article outlines additional contexts for Boast's explorations, broadens the perspective on the phenomena she describes, and at times verifies her theses.
