    Abstract: States that the Christian cannot define himself without reference to the mother religion, Judaism; it cannot be simply ignored. In the past, Christians explained the refusal of the Jews to recognize "the truth" by their malevolence or by a curse blinding them, and responded with persecution and missionizing. Calls for a new Christian definition of Judaism as a living religion with its own truth Pp. 9-22 contain responses by James A. Carpenter, Alan Davies, Monika Hellwig, James Hitchcock, and Dorothee Soelle. A reply by Rylaarsdam, "At stake; the credibility of Christian faith," appears on pp. 21-22.
