Abstract:
The official custodians of Anne Frank’s memory maintain that her diary possesses the power to bring people together, to promote tolerance, and thus to overcome boundaries. Nonetheless, the memory of Anne Frank is often utilized by those who strive to draw boundaries between "us" and "them". Notes that the diary reflects the issue of boundaries - between Jews and non-Jews, between ages and sexes - and even defends them. In fact, the diary is a document of a unique historical event - the Nazi genocide of the Jews.
