Abstract:
Describes antisemitism-tainted campaign against Yevtushenko, which was launched after the publication of his poem "Babii Yar". Among the other victims of this campaign was Dmitrii Shostakovich, who wrote a symphony on the text of the poem. "Babii Yar" was not the only poem by Yevtushenko on a Jewish topic; presents excerpts from other "Jewish" poems written by him.
