Abstract: Reports on a study of Turkish newspapers in 2002-03, comparing antisemitic views in three Islamic and three secular daily newspapers. Notes that antisemitism and anti-Zionism were found mainly in the Islamic periodicals: "Yeni Şafak", the semi-official paper of the ruling AK Parti; "Millî Gazete", the semi-official paper of the Saadet Partisi; and "Vakit", funded by the city of Istanbul and its mayor, a member of the Saadet Partisi. The first periodical always supports the Palestinian side in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. However, the latter two are more extreme: they blame the Jews for all the ills in society, claim that all international events are the results of a "Jewish conspiracy", and make no distinction between Jews, Zionists, and Israelis. Notes that these Islamic periodicals do not have a wide circulation and that they are not very influential.
