Abstract:
Around the time the Jewish Museum Berlin was opened (1999), a branch of the archives of the New York-based Leo Baeck Institute was established in the Museum. Nearly three-quarters of the materials held in New York have been made available in the reading room of the Jewish Museum on more than 4,500 microfilm reels. Many of the holdings have been digitized for online viewing. The branch also houses a number of original collections.
