Holocaust, Jewish (1939-1945) Influence
Kurzfassung:
Denounces the negation of the view of the Holocaust as a specific Jewish tragedy - by the Soviet leadership, as well as in Jimmy Carter’s and in Simon Wiesenthal’s discourse (who, at the time this article was written, were spreading the idea that the Holocaust encompasses the murder of Jews and non-Jews alike). Asserts that the unique character of the Holocaust resides in the fact that it was the total, planned annihilation of a specific national, ethnic group - the Jews - and not others. Concludes that the annihilation was motivated by an apocalyptic, quasi-religious ideology.
