Kurzfassung:
Applies Goldhagen's theory, which views the Holocaust as the result of traditional German antisemitism, to the Arab-Israeli conflict. Contends that this conflict is due to a deep-seated antisemitism in the Arab world. Many diplomats and intellectuals prefer to view the conflict as a territorial one and to ignore the fact that most Palestinians and other Arabs believe in a powerful, delusional antisemitic ideology. The Palestinians incorporate aspects of real disputes into their antisemitism, causing diplomats to believe that negotiation or compromise can solve the problem; however, these are ineffective in dealing with the delusional antisemitism which is at the root of the conflict.
