Abstract: Based on archival material, discusses the process of Aryanization of industries in France, both under Nazi occupation and under Vichy rule, through detailed examples of five enterprises: the Sarezinsky firm for trade in women's clothing, the Coty and the Bourjois-Wertheimer perfume factories, the Société des Travaux Métalliques, and the SA pour l'Industrie des Arts Graphiques. Discusses the various ways employed in the Aryanization of these firms due to the varying participation of Jews in the ownership and management.
