Abstract: Chronicles the rise and fall of the organization of non-Aryan Christians and "Mischlinge" in Nazi Germany, which was founded because this group received no support from Jewish communal organizations and little from the Churches. The organization, first called Reichsverband nichtarischer Christen, and then Paulusbund, offered social and cultural activities, job referrals, emigration counseling, and legal aid. From September 1935-February 1937 it was under the energetic direction of Heinrich Spiero. Although the organization stressed its German patriotism, its work was constantly hampered by official restrictions. In 1937 it was forced to expel the (Christian) "full Jewish" members. Thereafter the organization of "Mischlinge", under the new name Vereinigung 1937, tried to dissociate itself from the (Christian) Jews. These received counseling and aid in the Buero Dr. Heinrich Spiero. In the summer of 1939 both organizations were liquidated by the Nazis, and their place was taken by Church organizations.
