Abstract:
Leo Baeck has been criticized for withholding information from Jews in Germany and in the Theresienstadt ghetto about the transports to the east, which he knew were destined for Auschwitz. This study looks at what exactly Leo Baeck knew about the transports, and why he chose to keep his knowledge a secret.
