Abstract:
The study unfolds the thesis that Paul does not only reflect his speech on the Day of the Lord in a theologically stringent manner but combines it with the major themes of his theology. Thereby, Paul does not only receive 'Jewish' Day of the Lord texts from the Scriptures but intermingles them with theological thoughts, with has at least some parallels with stoic philosophy.
