Abstract:
The article looks into the problem of remembering the Holocaust in the context of lullaby as a genre of different origins. It stems predominantly from the intimate relation with a child, is deeply rooted in folk music, and still functions in popular culture. As an example, the author chooses Agnieszka Osiecka’s “Miasteczko Bełz,” which is interpreted in the context of the 19th- and 20th-century poetry and art.
