Abstract: Antisemitism is on the rise in Turkey and is increasingly accepted by both the country's elite and the common people. The racist, anti-Jewish, and anti-U.S. film "Valley of the Wolves: Iraq" had an unprecedented box-office success, and its premiere in Ankara was attended by the country's leading politicians. Notes that antisemitic publications of the 2000s focus on uncovering the Jewish origins of revered Turkish public figures, and tend to create the impression that either the country is ruled by secret Jews or there is a Jewish world conspiracy directed against Turkey. In 2009-10 ca. 6,000 of Turkey's 23,000 Jews emigrated to Israel; those remaining prefer to keep a low profile.
