Kurzfassung:
The Ebensee forced labor camp was constructed in November 1943. It was also known by the names Zement, SS-Arbeitslager Zement, Kalk, Solvay, Kalksteinwerke. Many of the inmates were Hungarian Jews who were deported following the Nazi occupation of Hungary in 1944. The Nazis planned to transfer to Ebensee part of their rocket project from Peenemunde. Ebensee was also one of the camps where the Nazis produced forged Western currency. Describes the construction of the camp, the living conditions, the work of the inmates (including the team which forged the money), and presents data on the inmates - their nationalities, as well as the fate of some of them.
