Abstract:
The bombing of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires in 1992 and of the AMIA Jewish community center in 1994 occurred at a time when Argentinian state institutions had become centers of crime, allied with international terrorism. This situation originated with the policies of the military dictatorship (1976-83) which destroyed the character of the state as a guarantor of individual rights. Notes that a few circles in the public sphere have begun only recently to recognize that the dissolution of Argentinian social and political institutions was a prelude to these attacks against the Jews and their institutions.
