Kurzfassung: Jews played a significant role in the establishment of the Hungarian Boy Scouts Organization between 1909-12. However, from the beginning, there were few Jewish leaders and officers in the organization, and several anti-Jewish resolutions from 1936 urged the establishment of separate Jewish groups. The basic rules forbade the existence of mixed Gentile-Jewish groups. The protocols of meetings during 1940 show a demand for the dispersion of the Jewish groups altogether. The Hungarian Ministry of Interior's resolution of 15 November 1941 put an end to the Jewish Boy Scouts Organization.
Anmerkung: On the "expulsion" of Jews from the Hungarian Boy Scouts organization.

Kurzfassung: Despite insistent German demands to expel Polish Jewish refugees, or at least to persecute them, Hungary continued during 1939-41 to aid them in the same way that she helped non-Jewish citizens of her longstanding ally, Poland, and even encouraged the Jewish refugees to register as Poles on entering Hungary, especially in 1939. In 1941, Polish refugees who insisted on identifying themselves as Jews were imprisoned in separate refugee camps - at Fajszo, Vámosmikola, and Kadarkút - but they were treated leniently whenever possible, without application of the local anti-Jewish legislation.
Anmerkung: On Polish Jewish refugees in Hungary during World War II.
