Abstract:
Traces Nazi antisemitism, and Hitler’s role in establishing Nazi antisemitic policy, from its beginnings in post-World War I Germany, which arose from economic and political crises and the development of extreme ideologies. Mentions decisive stages in implementation of the Nazi policies between 1933-45, and the use of antisemitism as a political tool in order to achieve the unity of the German people and to justify the war. Concludes that "dynamic antisemites" were only a minority of the population, but the indifferent majority facilitated the implementation of the Final Solution.
