Abstract:
Analyzes the book by Fred Weinstein, "The Dynamics of Nazism; Leadership, Ideology, and the Holocaust" (1980), which criticizes historians who adopt the methodology of psychohistory. Psycho-sociological explanations for the rise of Nazism in Germany tend to minimize the importance of antisemitic ideology in the Nazis' worldview and actions.
