Abstract: Discusses the notion of Christian supersession of the Jews as God's chosen people, taught through the ages by Christian theologians, and rejects it. Those teachings contributed to the Christian contempt for Jews. Analyzes various texts of the New Testament (among others, the Letter to the Romans) and concludes that interpretations of the New Testament which lead to the theology of substitution are due to the deformation and total perversion of the meaning of the texts and of the Christian faith.

Abstract: The author, a member of the Reformed Carmelite order, discusses points which Christians should reconsider if they wish to continue a true Christian-Jewish dialogue. Firstly, the uniqueness of the Holocaust should be understood, and some theological questions should be revised - e.g. the theology of substitution, which says that there is no salvation outside of the Church. Secondly, the Carmelite affair has brought up points such as the importance of memory of the Holocaust. Explains why Christian prayers are impossible in Auschwitz, and why the presence of a convent beyond the wall of the camp is indecent.
