    Abstract: Spielfilm über die Philosophin Hannah Arendt (1906-1975), vor allem ihre Beobachtung und Bewertung des Prozesses gegen Adolf Eichmann, die sie in ihrem Text "Die Banalität des Bösen" zusammenfasste. Verdichtet zum dynamisch erzählten Porträt einer höchst bemerkenswerten Denkerin, fesselt der Film als spannendes, persönliches wie geistiges Drama, bei dem besonders die Schilderung des New Yorker Milieus der deutsch-jüdischen Emigranten um 1961 überzeugt. Filmisch "atmet" er freilich nur bedingt; auch verschreibt die Inszenierung sich zu sehr einer Binnenperspektive, um eine kritischere Distanz zur Hauptfigur zu ermöglichen und die Kontroversen um ihre Schriften differenziert nachvollziehbar zu machen.     Abstract: "Charlotte": In 1939, Charlotte Salomon leaves Berlin to seek refuge at her grandparents' villa in the south of France. A little later, war breaks out, and Charlotte must, besides forgetting all she left behind, deal with her grandmother's depression, and her mother's suicide. To fight despair, Charlotte starts to paint, producing over 1,000 images. She finds herself though her art, but in 1943 is deported to Germany and Auschwitz
