Der vorliegende Band diskutiert kritisch die mal subtilen, mal plakativen Zitate faschistischer Symbolik und fragt nach Funktion und Resonanz dieses popkulturellen Phänomens. Die behandelten Beispiele führen von Kriegsfilmen wie INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS über Comic-Verfilmungen (THE SPIRIT) hin zu pornografischen Inszenierungen, vom Manga-»Cosplay« in den Fetischclubs über die Rock-’n’-Roll-Posen eines Marilyn Manson bis zur kritischen Überaffirmation der slowenischen Band Laibach. "Trotz der Kürze (gerade mal 104 Seiten inklusive Quellenverzeichnis und Glossar) ist Marcus Stiglegger ebenso wie bei seinem in der gleichen Reihe Kultur und Kritik des Berger + Fischer Verlages erschienenen Buches über Terrorkino ein außerordentlich lesenswertes Buch gelungen.
