Abstract:
States that there were two periods of sharp conflict between Poles and Jews in interwar Poland: the first, in the immediate postwar years (1918-1921), the second - in the period of growing nationalism (1935-1939). Describes the situation in the Kielce region in the years of crisis and growing influence of the Endecja party, which provoked violent anti-Jewish demonstrations. Pp. 46-93 contain documents from the Kielce State Archives, including police reports and files of the Regional Office in Kielce concerning information on disturbances in Odrzywół in November 1935, in Kłobuck and Truskolasy in January 1936, and in Kielce in April 1936.
