Kurzfassung:
Examines references to the Jews in the rhymed sermons of the 14th-century Austrian lay preacher Heinrich der Teichner. He refutes Jewish theological arguments, but more to strengthen Christians in their faith than to convince the Jews, whom he sees as irremediably wrongheaded. In non-theological contexts he mentions Jews only incidentally and with objectivity. However, as enemies of Christ, together with pagans and heretics, Jews bring suffering upon Christians, through which Christians may then attain purgation of their sins.
Anmerkung:
Deals with Heinrich von Teichner's anti-Judaic rhymed German sermons of the late 14th century.
