Kurzfassung:
Draws attention to the contradictory messages in three Nazi feature films. In "Jud Süss", the titular hero of the film is not only an abominable and lecherous Jew, but also a sexually attractive male, more virile than other leading men in the film. "Carl Peters" appraises the conqueror of East Africa for Germany as the ideal of manly heroism, warranted to kill "Negroes", but shows him having African concubines. "Ohm Krüger" portrays the vileness of the British by displaying a British concentration camp on the screen - at the same time when the Nazi death camps were activated. It depicted a British colonial war against "white" people (Boers) who, just like the Jews, cannot be distinguished from other "whites". Suggests that the inconsistencies in these films are deliberate and aim at reinforcing their affective power. In fact, the subconscious message of the films is a call against miscegenation and for racial purity, and sanctions the right of a nation "to mete out death", i.e. genocide.
