Abstract:
Examines Arendt's political theory and her work "The Human Condition" within the specific context of the Holocaust. In this work, Arendt responded to the trauma inflicted upon humanity, especially on the Jews and Germans, by the Nazi regime. Turning to classical Greece, she not only evokes a nostalgic image of a "better past, " but creates a "healing illusion" by proposing a better future, a better world that counters the recent reality of Auschwitz. At the same time, "The Human Condition" helps to comprehend the Holocaust.
