Kurzfassung:
Places recent tensions and incidents between Blacks and Jews in the larger context of increasing interracial conflicts in American society. Asserts that the Black population is not significantly more antisemitic than it is anti-white in general, but among Black intellectuals and ideologues there is a tendency to use the Jews as a symbol of the white oppressors. States that the Jewish community continues to consider the danger of antisemitism as stemming from traditional causes, neglecting the problem of interracial conflicts and the grave social and economic problems of an important segment of the Black population which forms an "underclass" endangering social stability and relations with the Jews and other ethnic groups.
