Abstract:
Gives a psychoanalytical explanation of the resurgence of antisemitism since the late 1980s, after the collapse of the communist system. States that the Jews continue to be a reminder of the ambiguity of all human boundaries, between self and other, and between good and evil. Identified as the main enemy, they provide the foundation upon which the new identity can be built. Focuses on the antisemitic rhetoric of Louis Farrakhan and Khalid Abdul Muhammad, and their influence on the increasing antisemitism among American Blacks.
