Abstract:
Examines the relationship between race, gender, age, education, occupational prestige, and antisemitism in the United States, based on the National Opinion Research Center's General Social Survey data (1986). The findings contrast with previous research, showing that race has a negligible effect on antisemitism whereas younger people, although better educated, are conspicuously more antisemitic than the elderly, raising the issue of whether anti-Zionist sentiment is related to antisemitic prejudice.
