Abstract:
Traces the development of the Soviet ideological antisemitic propaganda campaign, based on anti-Zionism, from the 1970s to the present. It began with the publication of "Beware: Zionism" by Yuri Ivanov in 1969. Describes Ivanov's works which expressed classic antisemitic accusations such as the Jewish world conspiracy theory, and other writings which were printed mostly in literary journals in the 1970s. The Soviet campaign continued with the UN resolution equating Zionism with racism, and went even further to equate Zionism with Nazism. Lev Korneyev began publishing works in 1977 expressing neo-Nazi accusations: Zionist-Nazi collaboration, Holocaust denial, Zionist falsification of history. Describes several of Korneyev's anti-Zionist and anti-Jewish writings.
