Abstract:
Among the different solutions proposed by Nazi leaders in 1933 for the elimination of Jews, the first ones adopted were discrimination and emigration. Mentions the Transfer Agreement (1933-34) and relates the failure of the Evian Conference (1938). Shows the various stages in Nazi anti-Jewish policy and the involvement of the German Foreign Office in this matter. Describes the deportation of about 18,000 Polish Jews in October 1938 and the decision taken in September 1939 to transport all German Jews to occupied territories in the East.
