Abstract:
Discusses the "historians' debate" in the context of the Kantian concept of "antinomy" - a paradoxical argument. Criticizes historians who compare the Holocaust with similar events in history in order to relativize these appalling crimes. Mentions the debate between Nolte and Habermas, and quotes H.A. Winkler who refuses to compare Asiatic and Russian behavior with West European culture. However, comments that Winkler's attitude is in itself a form of racial superiority.
